So how does Stratus work? It's easy and it's free! Browse a screenplay, select one that peaks your interest and click 'Request to Read'. Fill out your name, email, and if you like, include a message to the writer. Perhaps let them know what drew you to their script. If you would like to exchange scripts, please mention this in the message and include the titles of the screenplays you would like to have read. Note: exchanging scripts is not required, but is encouraged. Once the writer has accepted your script, you will receive an email with further instructions.

Are there any incentives? Besides discovering great work, yes! Writers will be asked to review your feedback. If your feedback receives a four star review, you earn 1 Clout point, if you receive five stars, you will receive 3 Clout points.⁺

Sounds great! How do I add my screenplay? You will need a By Storm profile. If you don't have one yet, click the hamburger menu and select 'Signup' to get started. Once you've created your profile, you'll need to add your screenplays to your profile. If you already have a profile, login, head to your profile page, and click 'View Dashboard'. There you will see a list of your screenplays. Choose the screenplay(s) you would like to add to Stratus and click the 'Add to Stratus' button. It's as simple as that!​

Who is able to read the screenplays? You must have a profile on By Storm to request to read a screenplay. Screenplays are only eligible to be viewed once a writer accepts a read request, and only the requester will be able to view the screenplay. If you are concerned about your intellectual property, we suggest registering your screenplay with the WGA prior to using Stratus.⁺

How does the feedback work? A template, along with instructions, will be provided when a request is approved. There is no timeline to return the feedback, however, a delay in returning the feedback may result in a lower rating from the writer. We suggest returning it within two weeks.
