Festival Description

Designed for screenplays that are down to the last details. Screenplays that need that final structural tweak, that one extra detail, that one last joke pass, or even that final proofread before it's sent around town or you start pitching it.

At On the Brink, you tell us what your screenplay needs and our readers will focus on that area and provide clear and actionable insight and suggestions.

This is not standard feedback. This is personalized and curated for your script's needs. We're not just going to tell your that the second act needs work, we're going to suggest ways to make your second act pop.

A follow up email will follow your submission where you can let your reader know on what they should focus.

Rules+Terms

Rules
1. Screenplays must be in English, formatted to industry standards and submitted as PDFs.
2. Scripts submitted to the competition must NOT have been previously optioned, purchased or produced at the time of entry.
3. On the Brink's competition decisions are final.
4. In the event of multiple writers, list all additional co-writers on title page. Please NOTE: On the Brink divides awards equally among co-writers.
5. Submissions that are 120 pages or longer may see a delay in the return of their feedback.

Terms & Conditions

I have read all of On the Brink's rules and regulations. I understand and have complied with these rules.

I understand that if awarded, I have seven days to claim my prize, after which the prize is voided.

I understand that failure to adhere to On the Brink's rules will result in disqualification. 

I am the sole owner and author of the submitted material.

Furthermore, I indemnify On the Brink, its affiliates, sponsors and judges of and from any and all claims, loss or liability that may be asserted against you or incurred by you or any associates, at any time in connection with said material.

Awards + Benefits

All scripts receive curated feedback. The feedback is standard coverage and includes 3+ pages focused on the area of focus requested by the writer, as well as general thoughts and observations.

One Grand Prize Winner will receive a full and on going script consultation, and the chance to pitch to our production partners when the script is ready.
