IFM's philosophy is to work together with screenwriters to help them enter the film industry, and this is a job that is done over several months, even years. The number one goal is to get distribution contracts or production contracts for your scripts so that with this money you can finance your next projects and grow as filmmakers.

Our festival is going to be a film market where we will select the projects with the most potential and send them to the distributors with whom we collaborate. We have a direct line with the acquisition managers of the best film markets in the world, and we will send the projects directly to them, so we avoid intermediate filters, and the success stories are much higher. We also know what types of titles they are looking for, so meetings are much more efficient.

As a festival, we offer a review of your project for festival awards by professionals in the sector, review of your project for possible distribution, and if your project is chosen, we give you support in everything. We organize meetings with distributors, negotiate the best conditions for your contract and send you the best offers.

It is super important to have good exposure, that is why ALL registered projects will have a promotional post on our social networks. IFM stands out because your project will have many opportunities. It is first judged for the festival awards. But if your project is not selected, you are not out of the festival. Your project still has options to be distributed.

Our festival is a 2x1. You compete for the festival awards but also to get a professional contract. The good news is that distribution contracts can be obtained throughout the year since we do many meetings with producers to have the maximum of options.

We offer different categories for registration, and we treat each category in a professional and individual way. If you enter ten categories, ten professionals will review your project. It is the fairest way that the decision does not depend on a single person, and your project has more opportunities. The best option is the "All categories" or VIP category as it provides a significant discount applied, and your project will be evaluated by several professionals in the sector.

I have never signed a professional distribution contract and I am a little afraid of being scammed. How does IFM help me?

--We only work with leading companies in the sector. In this aspect you can rest assured, but if you have any questions we will always be on your side and we will help you with everything you need.

How is the process to get distribution?

We study all the projects for a possible distribution for the finished projects such as short films, documentaries, feature films, web series, pilots and music videos and we study a possible production for the scripts. So our job is to present the best projects to the companies with which we collaborate according to what they are looking for. These companies study if they want to make an offer, and if they make an offer, we send it to you. Also if you do not have experience in distribution we can negotiate the percentages, years of contract for you. We help you throughout the process.

What does IFM gain from all this? Do you take a % of the sales?

Only the fees of the festival, all the contracts signed, are between the distribution companies and the owner of the project rights. We do not take any % for sales.

For us All categories is the best option. Since you save a lot of money, this category has a very large discount applied. In addition to the fact that your project will be evaluated by several professionals in the sector. We always recommend All categories, but it all depends on two factors, your festival strategy and your budget.

Rules+Terms

1. We accept projects and scripts in:
English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Chinese.

If your project is not in these languages, it must be subtitled in English.

2. There is no territorial restriction nor do we ask for premier. You can even present your project if it is on online platforms such as YouTube.

3. We do not grant any fee waiver. The rules are the same for everyone.

4. With the inscription you accept that we make a promotional post of your project. We'll send you an email when it's posted.

5. You agree that we can use excerpts from your project as promotional material (less than one minute). Sometimes we make small montages of the festival with the best fragments of the projects presented.

6. By registering the project, you guarantee that the project is yours and you have the rights to this project.

7. Organizers reserve rights change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, venue, awards & categories without consent.
